Bahrain Mirror: Sheikh Abdullah Al-Dakkak denied news circulated on news websites, about a call conducted between the religious authority Ayatollah Sayed Ali Sistani, and Bahrain King, over the trial of Sheikh Isa Qassim.
In a statement, Sheikh Al-Dakkak said he was surprised with a statement issued on his behalf, stating that the higher religious authority Sayed Ali Sistani had interfered and contacted Bahrain King to negotiate and settle the case of Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim.
"I personally deny this, as this is a lie about me and about a religious authority. I am mostly certain that Ayatollah Sistani did not contact the ruler or government in Bahrain," Sheikh Al-Dakkak said.
He also noted that the government exploits these rumors to discourage the people from supporting Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim and protecting him. He reiterated that the people must continue this path to protect Sheikh Qassim until the last breath, and disregard these rumors and lies.
