Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's public prosecution said on Sunday (March 12, 2017) that it detained the custodian of the Zahraa (as) Mosque in Hamad City for 7 days pending investigation, after he submitted fake notice.
The custodian of the mosque said that "he was under an unfortunate attack before dawn prayers by masked people who wanted to steal his money." The custodian then admitted that he submitted a fake notice to the security authorities and that he faked his attack incident by injuring himself and asking an Asian worker to take his photos, according to the prosecution.
The prosecution said that it launched an immediate investigation after reviewing the documents and questioned the accused who admitted the charge. The prosecution remanded him in custody for 7 days pending investigations as an introduction to refer him later to the competent court.
