Bahrain Mirror: Family of political detainee Ibrahim Mashkour from Bu Quwah demanded the Bahraini authorities to temporary release him to attend his mother's funeral procession who died on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Mashkour who was arrested on September 1, 2014 had suffered from the security authorities' oppression as he was prevented from attending his father's funeral procession on December 2014. This action was widely condemned by Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, Bahrain's largest opposition society.
Mashkour is serving a 5-year jail term in prison and his nationality was revoked based on his opposing activism.
