Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Ministry of Interior said (Tuesday February 21, 2017) that it was able to dismantle terrorist cells between 9 and 19 February 2017, and the cells included some opposition activists.
The MoI troops arrested 20 individuals, among them 4 women, accused of hiding their fugitive relatives. Religious cleric Mohammad Saleh al-Qashami was also arrested.
Moreover, the MoI reiterated its claims that 8 among the arrested were militarily trained on using weapons in Iran and Iraq.
Bahrain has been accusing Iran of supporting over 6-year-long protests calling for an end to the Al Khalifa power monopoly; accusations rebuffed by the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry.
