Minister of Interior Receives NIHR’s 2015 & 2016 Annual Reports

Bahrain Mirror: Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received on Tuesday (February 7, 2017) members of the Board of Commissioners of the National Institute for Human Rights (NIHR) led by the President Abdulaziz Abul. The Deputy Interior Minister, Inspector General, Chief of Public Security and Interior Ministry Undersecretary attended the meeting.
The minister was presented the NIHR's annual reports of 2015 and 2016. He directed the bodies concerned to respond to the points relating to the Interior Ministry. He also affirmed the Ministry's keenness to promote cooperation and coordination with NIHR.
It is to mention that the NIHR is an official institution whose members are assigned by royal orders. International human rights organizations accused the institution of colluding with human rights violators and whitewashing their reputation.
