Bahraini Parliament Speaker Meets with BDF Commander-in-Chief to Discuss Constitutional Amendment Allowing Trial of Civilians in Military Courts

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla said on Sunday (February 5, 2017) that the parliament will hold a meeting tomorrow on Monday with the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief, Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, to discuss the a constitutional amendment suggested by the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa that would allow the trial of civilians in military courts.
Al-Mulla noted in his comments to the press following a special session held for discussing the suggested amendment that the "meeting aims at inquiring about the nature of the constitutional amendment project referred from the cabinet to the parliament."
