Bahrain Mirror: A Bahraini court upheld a verdict sentencing a foreign policeman to 3 years in prison, fining him 100 BD and deporting him after finishing his sentence, after being convicted of smuggling cell phones to a detainee in Jaw Prison in return for drugs "Shabu".

The policeman confessed that he noticed that one of the prisoners is also energetic and happy and asked him about the reason, the prisoner told him that it is due to drug intake. The policeman then asked about a way to obtain drugs, however, the prisoner told him that he has his own sources. The policeman asked the prisoner to provide him with some drugs and the prisoner asked for a cell phone in return. The policeman said that he brought two cell phones, hid him in his clothes and smuggled them. He concealed them in the restrooms until receiving drugs from the prisoner.
