Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's third minor court started on Monday (January 23, 2017) looking into the case of human rights defender and president of Bahrain Center for Human Rights, Nabeel Rajab, in which he is accused of disseminating false news and rumors about Bahrain's internal situations.
Rajab was not brought to first court hearing yesterday. None of his lawyer attended the session, however, representatives from foreign embassies did.
He is accused of deliberately disseminating false news and rumors that could damage Bahrain's status, through foreign media outlets in which he talked about human rights violations in Bahrain.
Nabeel Rajab faces another case based on tweets in which he criticized war on Yemen and torture in Jaw central prison.
