MoI: Jaw Prison Guard’s Collusion led to Prisoners’ Escape

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Interior Ministry said that it discovered some circumstances regarding the escape of 10 detainees from Jaw prison on January 1, 2017, indicating that some of the prison guards affiliated to the Interior Ministry were involved in helping prisoners escape.
In a statement published by Bahrain News Agency (BNA), an official in the ministry of interior said that the authorities "ordered the suspension of the General Director of Reformation and Rehabilitation, Head of Reformation and Rehabilitation (Jaw), and Director of Security and Protection and referred them to the Public Prosecution affiliated to the Courts Directorate of the Interior Ministry."
He concluded saying "the committee found that there the security guards have conspired with the prisoners and ignored their duties in guarding and supervision."
