Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Fourth High Criminal Court, presided over by judge Ali bin Khalifa Al-Dhahrani with the memberships of judges Osama Al-Shadhili and Wael Ibrahim, and Ahmad Al-Sulaiman as secretariat, sentenced five defendants to 3 years in prison and ordered the confiscation of seized items.

The authorities claim that the major processes room in Khamis police station received a notice stating that an explosion took place near a traffic light in Al-Daih Street and an officer received simple injuries. Investigations were carried out which led the authorities to the suspects.

The prosecution accused the 5 suspects whose ages range between 15 and 17 that on November 22, 2014, they, along with other unknowns, set fire to movables, endangering people's lives and money for a terrorist aim, took part in an assembly of more than 5 persons aiming at disrupting public peace and acquired Molotov.

The Court said that the defendants were 15 years of age, but under 18, and this therefore lessens their sentence in accordance with Articles 70 and 71 of the Penal Law.

It is also noteworthy that the fourth criminal court was established in July 2013 to cover the enormous number of cases brought against protestors and activists and to expedite issuing harsh sentences against them under the Terrorism Act.
