2016-12-13 - 11:19 p

Bahrain Mirror: The Al-Wasat newspaper said that the security authorities prevented the drinking water companies and that of food from entering Diraz to supply the shops, describing what's going on as "the worst of its kind besiege".

Some of the shops owners complained saying "the checkpoints did not allow the drinking water companies to enter Diraz since a week, adding that the ban included all kinds of food."

"Some food companies unloaded their cargo near Diraz roundabout and then the shops owners transferred them to the village. Besides, the security authorities prevented the access of meat and fish," they added.

Diraz, resided by about 20-30 thousands, has been witnessing a strict siege since June 2016 based on the open sit-in held outside the spiritual leader of Shia majority Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, protesting against the decision that revoked his citizenship.
