Bahraini MP Referred to Prosecution over Construction Violations

Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini newspaper al-Wasat reported that the Northern Municipality referred the case of construction violations committed by a Member of Parliament, to the Public Prosecution after all settlement attempts.
The newspaper said the mentioned MP had committed 7 construction violations including: "closing a car parking space and turning into a main entrance, closing the main entrance of the residential unit and turning it into a parking space, adding a part to the second floor without a permit, illegally adding a corner from the street...", in addition to other violations.
According to the newspaper, the municipality cannot license the aforementioned type of violations, and there is no fine for unlicensed permits.
