Interior Ministry Approves Parliamentary “Fingerprint” Proposal to Prevent Entry of “Terrorists” to Bahrain

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Ministry of Interior approved a proposal presented by the Parliament, that imposes the use of a "fingerprint identification system", for both the fingers and eyes, as a mandatory measure for anyone entering the country from all ports; aerial, land, or naval. They believe that such a measure would prevent "the entry of terrorist members and exiled personnel, who try to access Bahrain via changing information and identity."

The aforementioned proposal, which was approved by the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs, Defense, and National Security Committee, is supposed to be voted for at the Parliament meeting next Tuesday (November 29, 2016).

Interior Ministry representatives clarified in their meeting with the said committee, that "this proposal organizes and protects the country borders from members whose entry to Bahrain is unwanted."

The Ministry hopes it can attain advances devices to implement this law, and have it at all bodies and apparatuses in the country and on its borders, to prevent the unwanted people from entering Bahrain.
