UK FM, French Defense Minister to Take Part in “Manama Dialogue Summit” This December

Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's al-Ayyam Newspaper, owned by the King's Media advisor Nabeel al-Hamr, reported that Britain will take part in the "Manama Dialogue Summit" to be launched next month. Britain's participation will be manifested by a high diplomatic and military delegation, led by UK Foreign Minister Boris Johnson.

The newspaper indicated that the UK Foreign Minister will deliver a speech in the opening ceremony of the summit, planned to be held on December 9, in the presence of Bahraini crown prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in addition to other figures and officials from around the globe.

Moreover, the newspaper confirmed that French Defense Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, will take part in the security summit of this year. The 3-day summit is planned to discuss in its first sessions the management of regional changes, regional forces, and stability in the Middle East. It's third session is designated to discuss "combating extremist in the Middle East and beyond it." Furthermore, the newspaper noted that for the first time, the title "The Geopolitics of the Gulf-Asian Relations" will be among the topics discussed, in reference to the significant Asian presence this year.

The third day of the summit will discuss "stability and rebuilding Yemen" and "Defense Cooperation in the Gulf", "The Struggle and Diplomacy in Syria", and "International cooperation Against Terrorism".

The closing session held on December 11, 2016, is expected to discuss "A New Structure for Regional Security".
