Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities prevented on Thursday (November 10, 2016) Radhi Al-Mosawi, the Secretary-General of the National Democratic Action Society (Wa'ad), from leaving the country.
The prominent opposition leader Ibrahim Sharif said in a tweet in his own Twitter account "the travel ban list is increasing. Today Mr. Radhi Al-Mosawi was prevented from traveling."
The authorities have launched since June severe campaign against the opposition and Shia majority since the Saudi and Emirati entered to crush the democracy-supporting protests in Bahrain.
The authorities have taken several arbitral measures against the opposition and human rights defenders, including harshening the sentence against the opposition leader, revoking the citizenship of Sheikh Isa Qassim, arresting dozens of Shiite clerics and banning human rights activists from leaving the country. This step prompted condemnation from the United Nations and Washington.
