Bahrain Mirror: The Unitary National Democratic Assemblage (Al-Wahdawi party) said that the security authorities prevented human rights activist Dr. Monzer Al-Khor from leaving the country.
The assemblage explained on its Twitter account on Saturday (November 5, 2016) that Al-Khor was prevented from leaving the country through the King Fahd Causeway that links Bahrain to Saudi Arabia.
The Bahraini authorities have intensified their measures against the opposition and activists since June. They have banned dozens of activists from leaving the country. This move was criticized by the UN Secretary-General, Human Rights Commissioner for Human Rights as well as Washington, London and other countries.
