Bahrain Mirror: Duaa Al-Wadaei (wife of human rights activist Sayed Ahmed Al-Wadaei) left Bahrain on Tuesday (November 1, 2016), along with her infant baby for London, few days after she was banned from traveling.

"Thanks for everyone who stood by my side. My wife and child are on their way to London. Struggle will continue until we achieve our dignity and rights," Sayed Ahmed Al-Wadaei said in a tweet.

The Bahraini authorities arrested on Duaa Al-Wadaei and her infant son, while attempting to leave Bahrain for London. The move came hours after Al-Wadaei and others protested against Bahraini King's visit to London to meet Queen Elizabeth and Prime Minister Theresa May.

For his part, the US State Department said that its embassy there in Bahrain has met Duaa Al-Wadaei and her son who holds the American passport, indicating that "it takes seriously its responsibility to assist U.S. citizens abroad and stands ready to provide all possible consular assistance."
