“Arab Gulf Security” Drill to be Held in Manama at End of October

Bahrain Mirror: The Commander of the Saudi Special Security Forces Major General Mofleh bin Salim Al-Otaibi inspected today on Sunday (October 23, 2016) the preparations of the units and divisions of the special forces participating in the Joint Tactical Exercise of "Arab Gulf Security 1". He said his inspection was to ensure the readiness of the human and technical resources as well as the armament, prepared for the exercise that will be carried out in the Kingdom of Bahrain at the end of October 2016 in the Prince Naif Security City.

He explained that the exercise aims at raising the efficiency of the security agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States, and increasing their ability to counter terrorist acts, in addition to the exchange of security expertise among their affiliates in the fields of security, especially anti-terrorism.

Al-Otaibi further stated that the "Arab Gulf Security 1" drill will be carried out in accordance with the security agreement ratified between the GCC member states, and is aimed at exchanging security expertise on a large scale, from joint planning and implementation, to exchange of security information and efficient decision-making, particularly in emergency situations.
