Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities continue to ban the Shia majority from performing the largest Friday prayer in the Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Diraz by preventing the Imam of prayers and worshipers from entering Diraz that has been witnessing a security siege since over 100 days.
The worshipers performed the prayers separately (without being led by the Imam) in the Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque. An angry protest was organized after the prayers, condemning the sectarian targeting against Shia in Bahrain.
The authorities have imposed a siege on Diraz that has been witnessing an open sit-in outside Sheikh Isa Qassim's house after the authorities revoked his citizenship in June 20.
Hundreds of citizens have been protesting outside Sheikh Qassim's house since his citizenship was revoked. Meanwhile, the authorities arrested dozens of people, including Shiite clerics, over the sit-in.
