Lawsuit in Egypt to Stop Bahraini King from Owning Lands in Sinai

2016-10-13 - 10:14 p

Bahrain Mirror: An Egyptian newspaper reported that an attorney has filed a lawsuit to the administrative court demanding the annulment of Egyptian president Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi's decision which grants Bahraini King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa the same rights as Egyptians regarding ownership of lands and villas in South Sinai Governorate, for residential use.

Al Shorouk newspaper said that the lawsuit filed by lawyer Alaa Khalaf has confirmed that the decision is in violation of the constitution that grants Egyptians exclusive ownership in this area and only allows non-Egyptians the right to use the real estates for limited years only.

The Egyptian president had published a decision on September 27, 2016 giving the Bahraini King the same rights as the Egyptian people allowing him to own land and 3 villas in Naama Bay resort in Egypt's Sharm Al-Sheikh.
