Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini government agreed on Monday (October 3, 2016) to pass a decree to dissolve the Information Affairs Authority, and assign all its missions, specialties, and employees to the Ministry of Information Affairs.

In an official statement, the government also said that it approved a decree law that aims at "giving the National Institute for Human Rights more authority necessary to achieve the goals for which it was established, and raise its rating on the international level."

Although established more than 6 years ago, the National Institute for Human Rights has not received international recognition as an independent body.
