Bahrain King Hamad Meets with General Secretariat of GFBTU

Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met on Wednesday (September 21, 2016), the members of the General Secretariat of the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions (GFBTU) led by Hassan Al-Halwachi.
King Hamad praised what he described as the "outstanding efforts carried out by the General Secretariat of the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions," underlining the "constant keenness on supporting labour trade unions and facilitating their work."
The GFBTU anticipates that the government fulfills its obligations regarding the tripartite agreement signed more than two years ago. It stressed on the government's obligations to reinstate and compensate those who were laid off from their jobs for taking part in the uprising of February 14, 2011.
