Bahraini Authorities Confiscate Passports of Shiite Citizens Returning from Iran’s Holy City of Mashhad and Hajj

Bahrain Mirror: The authorities at the Bahrain International Airport confiscated the passports of a number of Shiite citizens after returning from visiting the holy shrines in the Iranian city of Mashhad. Confirmed reports said that some of them signed on papers without being informed about their content. However, an official statement on the incident hasn't been issued yet.
This comes as the Bahraini authorities have taken measures, confiscating the passports of some citizens returning from Saudi Arabia after performing their Hajj (pilgrimage) rituals. The reasons behind these confiscations haven't been revealed yet.
