Bahrain Mirror: Salam for Democracy and Human Rights said that authorities are imposing unnecessary and unsuitable restrictions on the freedom of transportation and Internet in Diraz, aiming at restraining citizens from practicing their right in freedom of assembly and expression.
In a conclusive report about Diraz protest that started in June 2016, Salam said that the Bahraini authorities referred a number of citizens for trials or launched initial interrogations aiming at punishing and intimidating those who took part in the peaceful assembly.
The report urged to cease the siege on Diraz, remove all the security checkpoints and barriers, allow citizens to practice their rights in freedom of assembly and expression, drop all the charges against activists, clerics and others over practicing their right in freedom of assembly and opinion.
Salam also called for stopping the intended distortion of Internet and assigning a competent judicial authority or an independent party to take any measure regarding the materials posted on the websites and that have to be banned.
