Bahrain Mirror- Exclusive: The Bahraini authorities have banned performing prayers in the Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque, the largest mosque in Diraz, amid escalation of the security attack against Shia.
The authorities have prevented, for consecutive weeks, Imam of the mosque, Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, and worshipers from reaching the mosque. They also arrested a number of citizens.
Since King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a decree revoking the citizenship of Sheikh Isa Qassim, the regime's forces have been completely besieging Diraz.
Despite the international calls to ease imposed restrictions on Shia, the government continues to besiege Diraz, arrest and sue dozens of clerics and activists.
5 UN experts called on the government of Bahrain to end persecution of Shias. Meanwhile, Human Rights Watch stressed that Bahrain systematically targets Shia Clerics.
