Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Public Prosecution decided to renew the detention of detainee Taiba Ismail for 15 additional days pending investigation, according to human rights activists.

The prosecution had charged her with "insulting the king via Twitter."

Ismail was arrested by the authorities in the early hours of Sunday morning (June 26, 2016) in a raid on her house in Karbabad, and was taken to an undisclosed location. This coincided with a widespread campaign launched by the Bahraini regime against the opposition and the Shiite-majority in the country.
