Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini authorities summoned on Wednesday (August 11, 2016) 4 clerics for interrogation. Meanwhile, security forces raided the house of another cleric before they arrested him. This indicates that the regime is widening its security campaign against Shiite clerics.
The authorities summoned on Sunday Sheikh Maytham Al-Salman, head of the Religious Freedoms Unit at the Bahrain Human Rights Observatory, Sheikh Hassan Al-Ghuraifi, Sheikh Mohammad Mohsen Al-Asfour, Sheikh Saeed Al-Asfour and Sayed Majeed Al-Alawi.
Forces affiliated to the Ministry of Interior raided the house of Sheikh Ali Al-Tayyar before it arrested him. The authorities also set August 17 as a date to commence the trial of Sheikh Isa Al-Moamen, Imam of Al-Kheif Mosque, who was arrested earlier this week over a Friday sermon he delivered.
In the same context, the authorities summoned Abdulhadi Mushaima' (father of martyr Ali Mushaima') and kobra Abbas (wife of martyr Abdulkarim Fakhrawi).
