Bahraini Authorities Refuse to Release Nabeel Rajab to Take Part in his Uncle’s Funeral

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Public Prosecution rejected on Wednesday (July 13, 2016) a release request submitted by the president of Bahrain Center for Human Rights, Nabeel Rajab, to take part in the funeral procession of his uncle Mahmoud Jawad, who passed away on Tuesday (July 12, 2016).
Mahmoud is Mohamad Jawad Parweez's brother who is imprisoned among among a group of opposition figures and is serving a 15-year jail term. It is still unknown whether the authorities intend to release him or not.
