E-Government: 54,000 Visits within 7 Months to “Travel Ban” Service

Bahrain Mirror: The Information & e-Government Authority (IGA) revealed that the number of visits to the "travel ban" service offered by Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowment via the e-Government portal reached about 54,000 visits within 7 months, noting that this service has become one of the most used services through the e-Government portal.
This service allows the citizens and residents to know whether the executive courts issued any sentence against them preventing them from travel. The travel bans issued by executive courts include the sentences from July 2008 to date. Citizens can check the list of sentences by paying a fee
Service Delivery & Channel Enhancement Acting Director Mohammed AbdulAziz Abdullah said that the service was welcomed by citizens, who encouraged the authority to launch it in English as well.
