Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Head of the Bahraini Ulama Islamic Council, which was dissolved by the authorities, Sayed Majeed Al-Mashaal, warned security forces of the consequences of raiding the rally site in Diraz, where thousands of anti-government Bahrainis are protesting in the area surrounding top Shia cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim's home.
"We are not willing to make fights, but we are the sons of Hussein (bin Ali bin Abi Talib) who said ‘Far from us is Disgrace!' We learned from our leader (Sheikh Isa Qassim) to sacrifice our lives for our religion and dignity," said Al-Mashaal.
Al-Mashaal further stressed that "if they raided this rally, we will sacrifice our lives. We know that you have the power to kill and raid, what else do you want? Do you want to be murderous rulers?"
Sayed Mashaal called on the authorities to resort to reason, stressing that the "people are ready to die for Sheikh Qassim's sake."
Thousands have been rallying outside Sheikh Isa Qassim's home since Monday, voicing their solidarity with the prominent Shiite cleric.
