Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini lawyer Mohammad Al-Jeshi reported that the prominent human rights defender Nabeel Rajab was referred to the Public Prosecution. Which decided to detain him for one week pending investigations.
Al-Jeshi further explained on his personal Twitter account that the prosecution accused Rajab of "spreading false news that would diminish the state's prestige."
The Bahraini authorities arrested Rajab Monday morning (June 13, 2016) after raiding his house. The United States and United Nations have expressed their deep concern over the rights activist's re-arrest.
