Local Newspaper: No Travel Ban Issued against Dr. Al-Dirazi

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini local Al-Wasat newspaper said that the Ministry of Justice did not issue any decree preventing the Neurosurgeon consultant Taha Al-Dirazi from leaving the country.
Al-Dirazi said that he made sure that no case was brought forth against him and that he looked in the Interior Ministry's Travel Ban service, available on e-government portal, and found that no decree preventing him from travel was issued.
The authorities in Bahrain International Airport; however, did know allow Al-Dirazi and his wife to leave Bahrain, refusing to mention the reasons. The airport authorities only stated that they were following orders.
Al-Dirazi is one of the doctors who was dismissed after the 2011 events. He currently takes part in political seminars, and also joins the national delegation that leaves to Geneva every year to attend United Nations Human Rights Council meetings.
