Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain Observatory for Human Rights called on the Bahraini government to commit to the tripartite agreement signed between the government, employers and the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions that stipulates reinstating all employees dismissed over the 2011 events.

The observatory highlighted, in a statement, the need to stop the systematic dismissals to which workers and employees in some companies, ministries and public institutions are subjected.

It further stressed that the priority should be given "to nationals working in the public or private sectors, as stipulated in local laws, aiming at putting an end to increasing unemployment," noting that work must be done to alleviate poverty and abolish the programs adopted to lift subsidies."

In the same context, the Bahrain Observatory for Human Rights stated it's unacceptable to fiddle with the employees and workers' earnings and expressed its opposition to the news talking about raising the retirement age and canceling retirement bonuses or any other measure that affects the rights of the retired employees.
