BCHR: Dozens of Arbitrary Arrests Made Last Week

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) announced that 40 arrests took place last week, noting that 72% of these arrests were carried out arbitrarily by illegal house raids.
BCHR further stated that the Bahraini courts sentenced 30 citizens to a total of 164 years in prison and fines amounting to more than 31,000 BD.
The center added that 36 protests were staged in 22 different villages across the country last week (April 18-24, 2016).
