BCHR: 22 Arbitrary Arrests Took Place Between April 11 & 19

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) said that 22 arrests took place during the period between April 11 and 19, 2016. BCHR further stated that 90 percent of the arrests were arbitrary and carried out in illegal house raids and without presenting any arrest warrants.
The total of prison sentences issued against seven people reached 36 years, the center said, adding that jail terms upheld against 14 persons amounted to over 130 years.
BCHR also noted that 45 demonstrations were staged in 26 areas across the country, including three assemblies that faced crackdown by security forces.
