Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said that the security authorities arrested whom he described as "suspects" in the Karbabad incident, which the Ministry of Interior claimed to have killed one of its affiliates.
The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said that the minister chaired a security meeting on Sunday (April 17, 2016) in the presence of senior officers.
"The inciters and perpetrators bear the legal responsibility. The recent terrorist operation has been preceded by incitement from inside and outside Bahrain, as part of escalation attempts," added the minister.
He further made threats and said: "Let it be known that the security men are legally authorized to use weapons against anything that endangers their lives or the country's security," stressing that "the mission of policemen is to protect security and public order."
The Ministry of Interior claimed that on April 16, 2016 a Molotov cocktail attack was launched against a security patrol in Karbabad that killed one of its members and injured two others.
The opposition demanded an immediate independent investigation into the incident. However, it is expected that the ministry will conduct such an investigation.
