Parliamentary Committee Agrees to Establish Security Apparatus for Gulf Air Airplanes: Secret Armed Agents on all Flights

Bahrain Mirror: The Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee of the Bahraini parliament agreed in its meeting on March 16, 2016 upon a proposal to have the government establish a security apparatus affiliated to the Ministry of Interior, whose duty is to protect the airplanes of Gulf Air from hijacking and terrorist acts.
The proposal stipulated that all Gulf Air flights be provided with "secret armed agents". The proposal was referred to the parliament for approval.
