Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Hundreds of Bahrainis took to the streets in the island of Sitra at Tuesday night (March 15, 2016) on the fifth anniversary of the brutal attack launched by the Bahraini army on Sitra that left two people killed and a number of others injured.
Protestors, who lit candles and held photos of martyr Ahmad Farhan, stressed that the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is responsible for the attack. The demonstrators further demanded the overthrow of the regime that is controlled by the Al Khalifa family.
The Bahraini army backed by Gulf troops launched a brutal attack on the island five years ago. The attack left two martyrs; Ahmad Farhan who received a bullet in his head and a Bengali national who went out to defend the citizens.
Dozens of protestors were also injured and admitted to the medical center in the village before it was attacked by the regime forces as well.
