BFHR: 13 Arrests, 9 Torture Cases & 5 Forced Disappearances in 1st Week of March

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain Forum for Human Rights (BFHR) said that it recorded in the period between 3 and 11 March, 2016, 13 arbitrary arrests and 9 cases of torture and ill-treatment.
The BFHR report issued on Saturday (March 12, 2016) further stated that "the total number of arbitrary sentences issued by Bahraini courts against prisoners of conscience amounted up to 105 years of prison terms."
The report added that there were 5 cases of forced disappearance of citizens, including two children: Ali Hassan Abdulrazzaq and Sayed Ahmad Al-Aalawi from the villages of Bani Jamra and Al-Naim.
"Four cases of house raids, launched by security forces alongside civilians without search warrants or permission granted by Public Prosecution, were documented," it noted, adding that the Bahraini authorities illegally deported by force Dr. Masoud Jahrami, who was stripped of his nationality, last Monday (March 7, 2016).
The weekly report also highlighted that "the sites were the arbitrary arrests took place included checkpoints, King Fahd Causeway, highways, playground, house raids."
