Bahrain Court Sentences in Absentia Owner of “Takrooz” Twitter Account to 5 Years in Prison

Bahrain Mirror: Member of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR), Husain Radhi, stated that a Bahraini court sentenced in absentia Hussein Mahdi to five years in prison, also fining him 10.000 BD.
The Bahraini security authorities arrested Mahdi on June 18, 2014, over charged of managing the "Takrooz" account on Twitter, and released him later on.
