Bahrain Mirror: The General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions (GFBTU) stated that the authorities prevented a number of international unionists from entering Bahrain to attend the GFBTU's general conference and refused to grant visas to others.

15 guests, approximately, attended the third general conference. The Bahraini competent authorities did not issue visas for four guests whom the GFBTU invited to attend the congress. These four guests are considered among the most significant trade union leaders: Mostafa Al-Talili, Mostafa Saeed, Obaid Al-Buraiki and Waleed Hamdan.

A number of guests who were granted visas arrived at the airport on Friday (March 4, 2016). However, the authorities prevented two representatives of Tunisia labor trade union from entering Bahrain and asked them to return to their country.
