Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities blocked the entrances of Diraz village on Friday (February 26, 2016). This blockage coincided with a call by the Bahraini Shiite clerics for a central prayer at the Imam Sadiq Mosque, after Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour was summoned for interrogation.
Eyewitness said that the security forces set a reroute at the Sa'ar roundabout and Al-Janabiyah crossroad. Meanwhile, activists posted photos on social media, showing the heavy deployment of security forces at the main entrances of Diraz.
In the past few days, the authorities have summoned the Imam of Imam Sadiq Mosque in Diraz, the largest Shiite mosque in Bahrain Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, head of arbitral tribunal of Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society Sheikh Jassim Al-Khayat, and member of the Ulama Islamic Council, Sheikh Ali Rahma for questioning, which caused widespread frustration among citizens.
