Bahrain Mirror: The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) said it recorded 46 demonstrations staged on Sunday (February 14, 2016) in 26 different areas across the Kingdom of Bahrain, marking the fifth anniversary of the Bahraini uprising that erupted on February 14, 2011.
BCHR noted that 12 of the protests were exposed to crackdown by security forces, while residents in some villages and areas couldn't take to the streets due to heavy security deployment. The center also reported 21 arbitrary arrests, including 9 children under 18 years of age. 8 of which were released in a later time on condition to return to the Public Prosecution the next day.
BCHR further stated that 4 protestors were injured including a 12-year-old child who was hit by shotgun pellets, adding that there might be a number of other injuries, yet "some of the injured fear arrest or persecution, thus refrain from reporting them."
