Demonstrations Held on Eve of Al-Wefaq Secretary-General’s Appeal Hearing

Bahrain Mirror: Different areas across Bahrain witnessed demonstrations that were held on Wednesday (January 14, 2016) on the eve of a new appeal hearing for the opposition leader and Al-Wefaq Secretary-General, Sheikh Ali Salman, who was sentenced by a court of first instance to 4 years in prison.
The protesters called for putting an end to the trial of Sheikh Salman and releasing him immediately, stressing on their continued demand to take part in governing the country which the ruling Al Khalifa family has completely taken over.
The protesters held pictures of the Al-Wefaq Secretary-General and chanted slogans calling for democracy.
