Bahrain 19 Calls for Revealing the Fate of Journalist Mahmoud Al-Jaziri
2016-01-01 - 3:02 am
Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain 19, a group concerned with defending freedom of opinion and expression, called on the security authorities to reveal the fate of Al-Wasat journalist Mahmoud Al-Jaziri after his arrest was confirmed on Monday morning (December 29, 2015) from his house, which contradicts with the laws and the political orientations which prevent the arrest of journalists and media figures.
It is known that Al-Jaziri has been working in the local news department of Al-Wasat newspaper for years, and has committed to objectivity and accuracy during the period of his work. Thus, Bahrain 19 urged the security authorities to reveal what the charges raised against Al-Jaziri are and release him as soon as possible.
