Bahraini Cabinet Decides to Raise Diesel, Kerosene & Jet Fuel Prices

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini cabinet decided in its meeting held on Monday (December 28, 2015) to modify the prices of diesel, kerosene and jet fuel, with unchanged current kerosene prices for bakeries and subsidized diesel prices for fishermen. The cabinet assigned the Ministry of Energy to take the necessary measures after taking into consideration the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee for Financial Affairs and Rationalizing Expenditure in this regard, which was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Committee Khaled Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The cabinet agreed to restructure the Works Affairs Department at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, by cancelling the post of Assistant Undersecretary for Human and Financial Resources, changing the affiliation of the Directorate of Financial Resources and the Directorate of Human Resources and renaming the Public Relations Directorate as the Directorate of Communication. The cabinet also assigned the competent authorities to take the necessary measures.
