Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini businessman, Yousef Al-Masha'al said on Saturday (November 28, 2015) that Bahraini businessmen are transferring their money outside Bahrain due to the political crisis the island kingdom has been witnessing since 5 years ago.
On the sidelines of the Business Opportunities Forum inauguration in the Bahraini capital, Manama, Al-Masha'al addressed the Minister of Industry and Trade, Zayed Al-Zayani, saying: "What are you doing to solve the economic, political and security crises hitting the country, which have forced businessmen to transfer their money outside Bahrain, while the government only depends on oil with an estimated 90%."
"Why would businessmen forsake Bahrain by transferring capitals outside the country (...) Whoever transfers his money doesn't deserve the government's support and should give up his Bahraini identity," the minister replied, according to Al-Wasat newspaper.
