Bahrain Mirror: Thousands of Bahrainis took to the streets on Friday (November 20, 2015) to express their opposition to the Court of Cassation's decision to uphold death penalties against two protestors whom the authorities accuse of killing a policeman.

In the Bahraini village of Al-Diraz, thousands protested after Friday prayers. Protestors held photos of Mohammad Ramadan and Hussein Mousa with the slogan "No, No for death Penalty" written on the bottom of the photos.

The accused said they were tortured to give false statements that they were involved in the incident. However, opposition groups say that there are many suspicions about the incident The Ministry of Interior said on February 14, 2014 that a policeman was killed and another was injured in an explosion that took place in Al-Dair. The opposition demanded the establishment of an independent investigation committee. The authorities; however, continue to refuse to respond to such a demand.
