Wa’ad to Hold Extraordinary Conference to Amend Statute

Bahrain Mirror: The National Democratic Action Society (Wa'ad) will hold an extraordinary conference on Friday (November 6, 2015) at 9:00 a.m., at the Bahrain Society of Engineers headquarters in order to amend its statute.
Wa'ad Secretary-General, Radhi Al-Mosawi, said that holding the extraordinary meeting came "as an implementation of the decision made by the general conference a year earlier, stipulating the amendment of the statute in accordance with the current situation."
"Wa'ad's central committee formed a committee of law experts, lawyers and professionals to make the needed amendments. The new committee did its job and submitted suggestions to the central committee, which held a series of meetings during which it discussed the amended articles and referred them to the extraordinary conference. The extraordinary conference will discuss and adopt the articles after making additional amendments, if found," Al-Mosawi explained.
Al-Mosawi called on all Wa'ad members "to attend the extraordinary meeting in order to effectively contribute to make the necessary amendments to the society's statute and adopt them," stressing that "a lively and effective organization is the one that keeps pace with the changes and developments and embodies them in its main documents. This is what Wa'ad is seeking in order to strengthen its position in the society so that it gives Wa'ad the needed flexibility for the development process."
