Bahrainis Perform Prayers in Mosques Demolished by Authorities
2015-10-12 - 11:58 p
Bahrain Mirror: Bahraini citizens performed the evening prayers on Saturday (October 10, 2015) in mosques, which were demolished by the Bahraini authorities in a retaliatory attack on Shiites for their participation in protests that aimed at putting an end to the Al Khalifa family's monopoly over power.
The worshipers performed prayers in Ain Restan Mosque in A'ali and Alawiyat Mosque in Al-Zinj, south of the capital, Manama.
The authorities continue to deliberately postpone rebuilding these mosques despite their promises. However, challenging the authorities' decision, the citizens continue to perform the prayers on the empty grounds where the mosques once stood.
